The thirtieth session of the Intergovernmental Working Group of Experts on International Standards of Accounting and Reporting (ISAR) was held in Geneva (06 – 08 November 2013).

UNCTAD’s Secretary-General, government ministers, and other high-level officials stressed that a sound corporate reporting infrastructure plays a crucial role in promoting investment, financial stability, and development.

The Intergovernmental Working Group of Experts on International Standards of Accounting and Reporting (ISAR), serviced by UNCTAD is the only intergovernmental working group devoted to corporate transparency and accounting issues at the corporate level. ISAR addresses a variety of issues in corporate accounting and reporting with a view to improving the global comparability and reliability of corporate reports.
